You wouldn't know by looking at these pretty pastel pictures that my poor bride, Abby, at this styled shoot was actually freezing.....I think the high for the day was 50 degrees....she is such a trooper!
The backdrop for this spring session was Chateau Vie, a new venue in Walnut Cove, NC. They have big plans for this venue and when they finish it is going to be beautiful! Right now they are booking for fall 2018 and have an area for the groom and groomsmen to get ready in the big house and a completely separate bridal suite out in the back by the horse pasture and barn. There is a covered area with an inviting fire place and as you can see from the pictures, the sunset light is amazing! We didn't venture down there but not much past the bridal suite just inside the woods is a pond which eventually they will have cleared out and visible from the porch of the cute little bridal house.
Abby is wearing a vintage 1950s Alfred Angelo dress, a vintage veil and vintage pearl earrings, all from my personal collection. The pearl necklace and cowboy boots are hers and the cute gold heels are courtesy of Goodwill. The quilt and mohair shrug are both also vintage and from my own collection as well. In addition to being gorgeous, Abby is also an accomplished makeup artist and hair stylist and did both her own makeup and hair for the shoot.
