I had the pleasure of meeting Matthew and Brooke back in 2015 when they booked me for their Fall 2016 wedding, we did engagement and bridals and then their Luna's Trail wedding. It has been great watching these two grow older as a couple and now expand their family with a sweet little one.
Unfortunately for us we had a wet day for Brooke's bridals and then an actual hurricane (Hurricane Matthew!) on their wedding day. It should have come as no surprise that their maternity session would be visited by a thunder storm. We were able to get some images before the storm and then hang out under a picnic shelter as we waited for the intense part to pass. The great thing about shooting after a storm is there is usually great light when it clears and we did have a beautiful sunset that evening.
These were shot with a mixture of digital and film. For the film nerds: Shot on a Canon 1n with Fuji 400h and scanning by the Find Lab.
