Winston-Salem Wedding Photographer
I met Amanda and Andrew at their house in Rural Hall NC since they had chosen the town's quaint downtown area for their session and we could easily walk there. As soon as I was inside I met Amanda's adorable daughter, Miss E, and we hit it off right away! She liked my shirt and I loved her sparkly shoes, we also bonded over the fact that she is the same age as my little girl and has the same name as my baby. Amanda's Mom also came with us so she could help with Miss E and she also helped me get her to look in the general correct direction.
After we took family engagement pictures Amanda and Andrew took my lead as we backtracked a little to capture them at the old train station and caboose
that sits on the property. As a lover of history and anything old I probably rambled WAY too much about this and that and my internal questions about what
the town used to look like. Thankfully the couple was able to ignore me and still look in love and adorable together. After we casually photographed at the
buildings we found interesting (and had good light!) we spent a little bit of time for a must have ring shot.
Throughout our session I did shoot some images on film which I am starting to incorporate into my professional work. I will post those images at the bottom
of this blog post. I still have a ton to learn about film but I appreciate its demand that the photographer slow down and choose their shot more carefully than digital.
I am looking forward to Andrew and Amanda's wedding late this summer/early fall at WillStella Farm in Kernersville!
The next images were taken on Fuji 400H 35mm film on my Canon 1n with a Canon 85mm 1.8 lens.
