Winston-Salem Maternity Session on Film

A few months ago at the end of winter my kids and I were at a playdate at a local park and the sun was streaming through the leafless trees creating such great light with the soft browns of the sand. I thought to myself that it would be perfect for a photography session and immediately planned to have one soon. Well, fast forward a few months, it didn't happen soon and the lighting wasn't as magical but I still love the fairy goddess feeling that comes across in these maternity  images.

Jenn was such a trooper, doing everything I asked including going into the still freezing water. I loved her sense of adventure and am so glad she said yes when I asked her if she would be willing to let me photograph her barefoot in a cold creek!

I enjoy the challenge and anticipation that is natural when shooting film and so left my digital camera at home and shot these solely on my film cameras.
